Backup failed or cloud quota exceeded

Backup problems usually appear in the WP Backup wizard, Recent Backup Jobs, or quota bars on MigraSync → General.

Vault key not ready

Encrypted cloud backups require a saved Master Vault Key:

  1. Open MigraSync → WP Backup.
  2. Set or confirm your key → Update / Save Key.
  3. Download the Recovery Sheet and store it safely.

If you see “Please complete Master Vault Key setup”, finish step 1 before starting a backup.

Cloud storage quota full

Managed Cloud Quota (GB) on MigraSync → General shows usage.

Disk space on your server

Backups package files temporarily on your host before cloud upload. If the server disk is full:

  • Free space in wp-content / hosting panel
  • Ask host to increase disk quota
  • Retry Manual / Instant Backup

Only one auto schedule

You cannot create a second Auto Backup while one is active. Either:

  • Edit the existing schedule on Saved Schedule, or
  • Terminate it, then create a new one

Details: manage backup schedule.

Subscription expired (grace period)

If backup subscription lapsed:

  • New manual and scheduled backups are paused
  • WP Restore may still work during grace (7 days after trial, 30 days after paid plan)
  • Renew at Pricing → Backup tab

See manage subscription.

Job stuck on “Uploading to Cloud…”

  • Wait — large sites take time
  • Check Recent Backup Jobs for updates
  • Expand Backup debug log (if shown) and use Download log when contacting support
  • Confirm API connection is Active
