Run your first scheduled (auto) backup

Scheduled backups need a backup plan (trial or Essential / Pro) and a connected API key.

Prerequisites

1. MigraSync → General — API key connected.
2. Open MigraSync → WP Backup.
3. Set a Master Vault Key (generate or paste). Download the Recovery Sheet and store the key safely.

Encrypted cloud backups cannot be restored if you lose this key.

Create Auto Backup

1. In the WP Backup wizard, choose Auto Backup.
2. Select what to include: Database, Media, Plugins, Themes.
3. Set frequency (daily / weekly / monthly) and time (site local time).
4. Set retention / auto-purge days.
5. Review and save the schedule.

Only one auto schedule is allowed per site. To replace it, edit the existing schedule or terminate it first, then create a new one.

Confirm it worked

• Check Saved Schedule.
• After the first run, open Recent Backup Jobs.
• Confirm cloud usage on the plugin quota display if your plan includes Managed Cloud.
