1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MigraSync software, websites, APIs, and cloud services (collectively, the “Service”).
MigraSync (https://migrasync.com) is operated by Elliyas Ahmed, an individual based in Bangladesh (“we”, “us”, “our”). MigraSync is a software product brand; there is no separate registered company entity for MigraSync at this time.
By creating an account, installing the MigraSync Plugin, purchasing a product, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1A. Merchant of Record (Freemius)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Freemius.com. Freemius.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Freemius provides payment processing, tax collection, invoicing, customer service inquiries related to payments, and handles returns/refunds on our behalf.
By purchasing a MigraSync product, you also agree to Freemius’s Buyer Terms for your region. Product support for MigraSync software remains available at [email protected].
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
| Account | Your MigraSync user account on migrasync.com |
| API key | Credential issued to connect a WordPress site to MigraSync SaaS |
| MigraSync Plugin | The MigraSync Plugin WordPress plugin installed on your site |
| SaaS | MigraSync’s central platform (migrasync.com) that authenticates requests, enforces quotas, and manages cloud storage |
| Managed Cloud | MigraSync Managed Cloud — encrypted private cloud vault where backup archives are stored |
| Migration | Importing content from Google Blogger to WordPress via the Service |
| Backup | Creating, storing, and restoring encrypted archives of your WordPress site in Managed Cloud |
| Retention / Auto purge policy | Per-backup setting that deletes a backup from Managed Cloud after a number of days while your backup entitlement is active |
| Grace period | Limited time after a backup subscription or trial ends during which existing backups are preserved and restore may be available |
3. What MigraSync provides
MigraSync is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. Depending on your plan, we provide:
- Blogger-to-WordPress migration tools — discovery, queueing, content import, media handling, and job history via the MigraSync Plugin and SaaS APIs.
- Managed cloud WordPress backup — scheduled or manual backups, encrypted storage in MigraSync Managed Cloud, retention management, and WP Restore (on eligible plans).
- Customer dashboard — account management, API keys, subscription status, billing history (via Freemius), and support tickets.
- Infrastructure — secure APIs, quota enforcement, scheduled backup triggers, and cloud storage operations on your behalf.
We do not provide general web hosting, domain registration, WordPress installation on our servers, or hands-on website management unless separately agreed in writing (e.g. professional services).
4. Migration service — packages and entitlements
Migration and backup are separate product lines. You may hold one, the other, or both.
4.1 Migration packages
| Package | Billing | What you receive | Key limits |
| Free trial | Free | Test migration of a Blogger blog to one WordPress site | Limited preview import (e.g. up to 10 posts); Google Takeout or Blogger API path |
| Starter | One-time purchase | One migration slot per purchase (quantity may be stacked on checkout) | Up to 2,000 posts + pages combined per blog migrated |
| Standard | One-time purchase | One migration slot per purchase (quantity may be stacked) | Unlimited posts and pages per blog; priority support features where offered |
Slot allocation: SaaS assigns Starter or Standard capacity per blog based on size and your available slots. Blogs over 2,000 posts+pages require a Standard slot.
Validity: Paid migration entitlements are valid for 360 days from purchase unless otherwise stated at checkout. After expiry, unused slots are no longer available until you purchase again.
What migration includes (when successful): Import of eligible Blogger posts, pages, comments, authors, categories, and associated media per the MigraSync Plugin wizard scope you select, subject to Google/Blogger API availability and your hosting limits.
What migration does not guarantee: Perfect layout parity with Blogger, preservation of custom Blogger templates, third-party Blogger gadgets, email subscriptions, or traffic/SEO rankings. You are responsible for reviewing imported content and configuring your WordPress theme.
4.2 Migration — customer prerequisites
You must:
- Own or have lawful rights to the Blogger content you migrate
- Use a supported import path: Google Takeout / local file or Google Blogger API (OAuth) for blogs you own or have rights to migrate
- Run a supported WordPress installation with the MigraSync Plugin and a valid API key
- Maintain adequate hosting resources (PHP memory, disk, HTTPS as required)
5. Cloud backup service — packages and entitlements
All paid backup tiers use Managed Cloud only (no durable local backup store on your server). Backups are encrypted with your Master Vault Key, which you control on the WordPress site.
5.1 Backup packages
| Package | Billing | Cloud storage | Backup frequency | Max Auto purge retention | WP Restore |
| Backup trial | Free (one-time offer per account, where available) | Limited trial storage (as shown at signup / Pricing) | Manual / limited trial use | Up to 14 days | Per trial rules at signup |
| Essential | Recurring (monthly/yearly) | 5 GB per site (scalable with purchased site quantity) | Daily / weekly / monthly (and manual), per plan rules | Up to 30 days | Yes |
| Pro | Recurring (monthly/yearly) | 100 GB per site (scalable with purchased site quantity) | Daily / weekly / monthly (and manual), per plan rules | Up to 365 days | Yes |
Plan limits shown at Pricing and in the MigraSync Plugin UI are authoritative if they differ from marketing summaries. The MigraSync Plugin enforces caps server-side; attempts to exceed plan limits are rejected or normalized.
What backup includes: Packaging database, media, plugins, and/or themes (per your scope), uploading encrypted archives to Managed Cloud, job history in Recent Backup Jobs, email notifications on completion (where enabled), and restore from cloud on eligible plans.
What backup does not include: Off-site copies outside Managed Cloud unless you export yourself, malware scanning of your site, guaranteed recovery from ransomware on your live server, or compliance certifications beyond what we describe publicly.
5.2 Per-backup retention (Auto purge policy)
When you create or schedule a backup, you choose an Auto purge policy (e.g. 1 week through 1 year, capped by your plan). This means:
While your backup subscription (or eligible trial) is active, MigraSync will automatically delete that specific backup from Managed Cloud after the selected number of days.
Retention is per backup job, not a promise to store data for that period after you stop paying.
Latest-backup safeguard: At least one most recent successful backup is protected from automatic retention purge to reduce the risk of having zero recovery points.
5.3 Subscription cancellation, non-renewal, and grace period
If your paid backup subscription ends (you cancel, payment fails, or you do not renew):
| Phase | Duration | Cloud backups | New backups | Restore |
| Active subscription | While paid | Stored per plan + per-job retention | Allowed | Allowed |
| Grace period | 30 days after paid plan ends | Preserved | Paused | Allowed |
| After grace | Permanent | All deleted from Managed Cloud | Not available | Not available |
If your backup trial ends without upgrading to a paid plan:
| Phase | Duration | Cloud backups | New backups | Restore |
| Grace period | 7 days | Preserved | Paused | Allowed (subject to trial features) |
| After grace | Permanent | All deleted | Not available | Not available |
Important: A long per-backup retention (e.g. “1 year”) does not keep backups for a year after cancellation. Subscription grace (30 days paid / 7 days trial) controls post-cancellation storage.
Your Account may remain after grace so you can log in, renew, or view history; backup data does not.
5.4 Customer-initiated deletion
You may delete or purge backups from the MigraSync Plugin UI. Some deletions use a soft-purge grace (default 7 days; up to 30 days on Pro) before permanent removal from Managed Cloud, during which support may assist with rollback. This is separate from subscription grace.
6. Account, API keys, and the MigraSync Plugin
6.1 Account security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your MigraSync login credentials secure
- Enabling two-factor authentication when offered
- Not sharing your API key publicly or embedding it in client-side code
We may suspend or revoke API keys for abuse, fraud, or Terms violations.
6.2 MigraSync Plugin
The MigraSync Plugin runs on your WordPress server. You must:
- Keep WordPress, PHP, and the MigraSync Plugin reasonably up to date
- Ensure your server can reach migrasync.com over HTTPS
- Store your Master Vault Key safely — without it, encrypted backups cannot be restored
MigraSync is not responsible for failures caused by incompatible hosting, security plugins blocking loopback requests, insufficient disk space during backup build, or modifications you make to the MigraSync Plugin codebase.
6.3 Plan sync
After purchase or cancellation, open MigraSync Plugin → General → Status to sync entitlements. Delays in Freemius webhooks or cached plan data may briefly show stale status; contact support if sync does not resolve within 24 hours.
7. Customer responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration and billing information
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and content you have rights to
- Comply with Google’s terms when using Blogger OAuth and APIs
- Maintain your WordPress site, hosting, and domain independently
- Monitor backup success and retention settings appropriate to your risk tolerance
- Renew backup subscriptions if you require ongoing protection — we do not archive paid-tier backups indefinitely after cancellation
- Export or download critical data before grace periods end if you choose not to renew
- Not attempt to circumvent quotas, scrape the Service, reverse engineer SaaS, or probe infrastructure without permission
- Not use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or illegal material
You retain ownership of your website content and backups. You grant us a limited license to process, transmit, and store your data solely to provide the Service.
8. MigraSync responsibilities and limitations
8.1 What we strive to provide
- Commercially reasonable availability of SaaS APIs and Managed Cloud
- Quota and plan enforcement as described at purchase
- Encryption of backup archives in Managed Cloud using industry-standard methods (AES-256) with keys you control
- Support via documented channels ([email protected])
- Notice of material Terms changes (see §12)
8.2 Service limitations
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We are not liable for losses arising from:
- Your failure to renew a backup subscription or export data before grace expiry
- Misconfiguration of retention, backup scope, or Master Vault Key loss
- Outages or rate limits of third parties (Google/Blogger, your host, Freemius, internet providers)
- Force majeure events beyond our reasonable control
- User error, incompatible plugins, or custom code on your WordPress site
Maximum liability: To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or USD $100 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other rights that cannot be excluded by law.
8.3 Support scope
Support covers MigraSync platform and MigraSync Plugin issues within documented plan entitlements. We do not provide unlimited custom WordPress development, theme design, or server administration except under separate professional services agreements.
9. Fees, billing, and refunds
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change for new purchases with notice
- Recurring backup plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date
- Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Taxes are collected by Freemius where applicable
10. Data protection and privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Backup archives may contain personal data from your WordPress site; you are the data controller for that content and must have a lawful basis to back it up and restore it.
Upon account closure or post-grace purge, backup data is deleted from Managed Cloud as described in §5.3. Residual copies in encrypted backups may persist in storage snapshots for a limited technical window consistent with our privacy and security practices.
11. Acceptable use and suspension
We may suspend or terminate access if you:
- Violate these Terms or applicable law
- Abuse APIs, impose unreasonable load, or attack our infrastructure
- Use the Service for fraudulent chargebacks or payment abuse
- Store or distribute prohibited content
We will use reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension where practical. Serious abuse may result in immediate termination and deletion of data per §5.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Last updated date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on migrasync.com. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where mandatory law requires explicit consent.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
EU/UK consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. Contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve issues promptly. Payment disputes may also be raised with Freemius at [email protected].
