Edit, pause, or terminate a backup schedule
After you create Auto Backup, the active routine appears under Saved Schedule at the bottom of MigraSync → WP Backup.
Only one auto schedule is allowed per site. To replace it entirely, terminate the current schedule first, then save a new one.
View your schedule
- Open MigraSync → WP Backup.
- Scroll to Saved Schedule (tab next to Recent Backup Jobs).
- Review Frequency, Trigger Time (local site time), Scope, Destinations, and Status.
If a schedule exists, the wizard shows Schedule locked — “Only one auto schedule is allowed per site to prevent conflicting runs.” Use Edit schedule or View saved schedule from there.
Edit an existing schedule
- On Saved Schedule, click Edit (or Edit schedule in the wizard).
- In Edit Saved Schedule, update:
- What to include (database, media, plugins, themes)
- Backup frequency (daily / weekly / monthly — plan may limit daily)
- Trigger time (site local timezone)
- Auto purge policy retention
- Click Update Schedule.
Tip: Backup frequency cannot exceed your retention window — e.g. a monthly purge policy may not pair with daily backups on some plans.
Terminate (pause) automated backups
To stop all future scheduled runs:
- Click Terminate on the saved schedule row.
- Confirm Terminate Backup Schedule? — future automated backups stop until you save a new schedule.
- Check the consent box and click Terminate Schedule.
Existing completed backups in Recent Backup Jobs remain until purged or expired by retention.
Create a new schedule after terminate
- Terminate the old schedule (above).
- In the wizard, choose Auto Backup and walk through all steps again.
- Save — you should see Schedule saved and an Active row under Saved Schedule.
