Purge WordPress content before a fresh migration
Purge Content for Migration empties common WordPress content so you can re-import cleanly. It is permanent.
When to use it
- You ran a test migration and want a clean slate
- The site should only contain your Blogger import
- You need to clear stored SEO redirect rows with the content
Do this first
- Take a backup if you might need anything on the site
- Confirm you are on the correct WordPress install
Steps
- Open MigraSync → Purge Content (migrasync-purge-content).
- Read the danger warning carefully.
- Type DELETE to unlock the button.
- Confirm in the dialog.
- Wait for the progress indicator to finish.
What gets deleted
- Posts, pages, media, comments
- Categories (except WordPress defaults that cannot be removed)
- Non-admin users
- All stored SEO 301 redirects and redirect generation state
Admin accounts stay. This cannot be rolled back from inside MigraSync.
