Blogger migration wizard: walkthrough

Run this after the plugin is installed and your API key is connected. You need an active migration trial or package.

Before you start

• WordPress is ready (permalinks, author account)
• Optional: purge content only if you intentionally want an empty site
• Choose Takeout vs API

Steps

1. Open MigraSync → Blogger Migration.
2. Choose Local file (Google Takeout) or Google Blogger API.
3. Upload your export or sign in with Google and select the blog.
4. Review package / quota preview if shown.
5. Set import options (posts, pages, media, comments, drafts, etc.).
6. Accept data processing consent.
7. Start migration and watch progress.

Large jobs can continue in the background — you do not need to keep the browser tab open forever. Check Recent Migration Jobs for status.

After migration

1. Spot-check posts, images, and categories.
2. Open MigraSync → SEO 301 Redirects and run Start SEO 301 Redirect if you have captured URLs.
3. Point your domain / DNS only when content looks correct.
