Plugin won’t install or shows requirements warning
Install the MigraSync Plugin from the ZIP in My Dashboard — see download and install guide.
Upload fails in WordPress
| Error | Fix |
| “Could not copy file” | Fix wp-content/plugins permissions (755 dirs, 644 files); ask host |
| “Invalid plugin” / no header | Download fresh ZIP; do not unzip before upload |
| File too large | Unlikely for plugin ZIP — re-download from dashboard |
| Disk quota full | Free space on hosting account |
Requirements warning on MigraSync → General
Required (must pass):
- PHP 8.1+
- WordPress 6.2+
- OpenSSL and JSON extensions
- Outbound HTTPS to migrasync.com
Recommended:
- cURL, ZIP, memory_limit 256M+

Ask your host to upgrade PHP or enable extensions. MigraSync does not run correctly below minimums.
Old or duplicate MigraSync plugin
If you previously installed an older version:
- Deactivate and delete the old plugin from Plugins.
- Download a fresh ZIP from My Dashboard.
- Upload and activate again.
Do not rename folders manually — use WordPress delete + reinstall.
Multisite notes
Install on each site that needs MigraSync, or network-enable per your network admin policy. API key and plans still apply per site quota.
