Migrate with Google Takeout (step-by-step)

Prerequisites

• API key connected and a migration trial/package active
• Export from Google Takeout with Blogger selected, or a Blogger .atom / .xml export
• Supported upload types: .zip, .tgz, .atom, .xml

Steps in WordPress

1. Open MigraSync → Blogger Migration.
2. Choose Local file (Google Takeout).
3. Upload your archive or export file.
4. Wait for validation, then select the blog if more than one appears.
5. Set import options (posts, pages, comments, images, drafts, labels/categories).
6. Accept consent and Start.

While it runs

• Progress appears in the wizard and Recent Migration Jobs.
• Large imports can continue in the background — you do not need to keep the tab open forever.
• If upload fails, check max upload size with your host or try a smaller export/tgz.

After import

1. Spot-check posts and media.
2. Generate SEO 301 redirects.
